Frank Fritz, who gained popularity after starring in reality television series titled “American Pickers” rushed to hospital following a stroke.
The news was revealed on Thursday, July 21, 2022, by his then-co-star Mike Wolfe who took to Instagram and shared a picture of Fritz writing “I have been very private in the past year in regards to Frank’s life and the journey he’s been on,” adding “There has been lots of opinions in regards to mine and Frank’s friendship and the show but now is not the time to set the record straight. Now is the time to pray for my friend.”
Mike urged fans to keep Frank “in your hearts and thoughts” since he confirmed Fritz was being attended by medical professionals.
He wrote “Frank has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. Please keep him in your hearts and thoughts.”
Mike concluded by writing “Frank I pray more than anything that you make it through this okay. I love you, buddy.”

In March 2020, Frank’s last episode on the “American Pickers” premiered. In a July 2021 interview with The Sun, Fritz revealed that he is no longer part of the “American Pickers”. As per reports, Frank was ousted from the series following a break of around two years taken by him in order to restore his health from back surgery, because of which he had 185 stitches and 2 rods in his spine.
Around a decade ago, American Pickers started airing on History Channel and followed Frank Fritz, Mike Wolfe, as well as their co-worker Danielle Colby-Cushman, who operated an antique store in Iowa.
They used to travel throughout the country recovering antiques and other valuables.
Wolf on welcoming Frank back on “American Pickers”
In an August interview with the outlet, Mike said that he would be delighted with the return of his co-star on the series.
He said “We all do care about Frank and we want him back on the show,” adding further “I would love to talk with him again, we would absolutely love to, but he just can’t get it right.”
He further added “Frank is just going through a lot personally with addictions,” continuing “It’s unfortunate that he’s made decisions that have him the way he is.”
During that time, Frank acknowledged that he desired to be back on “American Pickers” following his break. He stated “I’d still like to get back to my job,” adding “I miss my friends and my people and being on the road and meeting all those different characters.”
In July, Mike issued a statement on Instagram and shared he will “miss” his co-host and “pray for the very best and all good things for him on the next part of his journey.”
To this, Fritz responded to the outlet saying “Mike’s statement was bulls—t, somebody wrote it out for him,” adding further “We were never friends in grade school. I don’t believe in 10 years he’s said five nice things to me, you know? Unless he was cutting somebody else down and we were both laughing.”
He claimed that Mike didn’t contact him when he was going through all the health issues.
He said “Mike didn’t call me himself, never, as I said – we haven’t spoken for two years,” adding “That is the 100% truth and I don’t like people that lie to people. I’m not a liar just for the fact that my brain can’t remember if I lied or not. I don’t lie to people, even if it hurts. If it hurts your feelings, I’m sorry. If you don’t like me anymore, that’s your problem.”
Well, we hope Fritz gets well soon. Stay tuned for more such news.
