In the early ’90s, “gangsta rap” began to take over the American rap industry, and it quickly spread across the globe. Dr. Dre was a rising star in hip-hop at the time. In 1991, he and Knight formed ‘Death Row Records,’ a record label dedicated to metal music.
To the label’s benefit, Tupac Shakur’s arrival brought with it his distinct brand of rapping. A few rappers like MC Hammer proceeded to leave the label as a result of the label’s rise in popularity. Tupac Shakur was gunned down in Las Vegas in 1996. Snoop Dogg and other members of the ‘Death Row Records crew suspect Knight of involvement in the killing.
After a few days, it became evident that Knight had done the act to facilitate Tupac’s death. After running over two individuals in 2015 with his truck, Suge was recently sentenced to 28 years in jail.

Shakur was shot four times as a white Cadillac drew up to Knight’s right side at 11:15 p.m.
The bullet fragments struck Knight in the head. One mile from where they were stopped by police and EMS, Knight was allowed to drive. Shakur died six days after they were brought to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada. The LA Times reported that a Compton gang was responsible for the shooting death of Tupac Shakur, despite several other possibilities.

Snoop Dog’s new album, “Tha Doggfather,” contains outspoken criticism of Malcolm X’s killer. As recently as 2006, Snoop Dogg continued his verbal assaults on Knight for his alleged involvement in the killing of Biggie Smalls.
