Ted Danson, was born on December 29, 1947, in San Diego, California. He was brought up in Flagstaff, Arizona, with his elder sister, Jan because their father was an archaeologist and the director of the Museum of Northern Arizona from the period 1959 to 1975.

Ted went to the Kent School, a prep school in Connecticut where he was a star basketball player. He went on to continue his education at Stanford University, where he developed his interest in acting. Later, he transferred to Carnegie Mellon University to pursue his acting career. In 1972, he earned a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama.

Ted has tied the knot three times. In 1970, he got married to his first wife, actress Randall “Randy” Gosch but the couple later divorced in 1975. He then tied the knot with his second wife, producer Cassandra “Casey” Coates, and the couple has two daughters together. Ted then got married to his third wife, actress Mary Steenburgen.

The sitcom ran for 11 seasons overall and premiered its final episode on May 30, 1993, which was indeed watched by 80 million people and became the second most-watched finale in history at the time.
