Kim Kardashian testified Tuesday in court that she had no recollection of attempting to stop the reality program starring her brother Rob Kardashian and then-fiancée Blac Chyna.
She did, however, admit to requesting that Chyna (full name: Angela Renée White) be removed from Keeping Up With the Kardashians following reports that White had harmed her brother.
“I will not work in a toxic work atmosphere,” Kardashian, 41, stated in a statement on her unwillingness to work with White. “I have the authority to do it on my program.”
Kardashian testified in a civil lawsuit for an hour in a Los Angeles courthouse. White claims Kardashian and three other family members defamed her and forced producers and the E! network to cancel the Rob & Chyna spin-off show. White is seeking damages for US$100 million.
Her evidence was largely uneventful — she spent most of it repeating “I don’t recall” — but as the trial’s biggest star, she made a sensation as she strolled from the gallery to the witness stand wearing a dark grey pinstriped suit and white shoes.
Lynne Ciani, White’s attorney, gave Kardashian a series of text exchanges from late 2016 and early 2017 that included Kardashian’s name.
Kardashian stated in each case that she had no recollection of sending them, though she did not dispute their apparent legality.
“I have no recollection of texts I sent this morning,” Kardashian admitted.
In reaction to watching one text exchange, a lengthy chat with a producer from Bunim Murray, the production company that produced both shows, Kardashian said that “this sounds like something I would say.”
She expressed outrage that White might still be videotaped for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, on which White appears on occasion in addition to her program.
“I believe we should all take a vacation from filming until we figure out what’s going on.” “She will not appear on our show,” the text stated. “So if you guys shoot with Rob and Chyna, you’ll lose the Kardashians and Jenners.”
The text thread contains multiple apparent demands that White be videotaped for “her” program, but Kardashian maintained it was a technical glitch.
“This is certainly voice dictated, as is everything I send that is this long, and it is occasionally mistaking ‘our’ for ‘her,'” Kardashian testified. “I’d never referred to her show as ‘hers.’ Since it is a spin-off of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, I would say ‘Rob’s show.’
She added that Amanda Weinstein, the recipient, did not work on Rob & Chyna.
Kim Kardashian stated that the text conversation demonstrated that she and her family did not influence the final decisions made by producers and the network about the episodes.
“No one hears us, no one respects us,” says one text message.
Much of the trial, including evidence from Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, and sister, Kylie Jenner, has centered on a dispute between White and Rob Kardashian on Dec. 15, 2016, ultimately resulted in the couple’s split and the termination of their show.
Kris Jenner grew upset on Friday as she recalled an altercation between her son Rob Kardashian, 35, and his then-girlfriend White.
Jenner, 66, testified that she felt White attempted her son’s life. She said that she was informed that Whtie put a gun at Rob Kardashian’s head, attempted strangulation with a phone chord, and struck him with a metal pole while inebriated.
“It was anarchy. “It was frightening,” Jenner stated. White, 33, also testified in court last week.
White spent most of his testimony about the fight and the previous night’s celebration of the show’s renewal. White testified that she was teasing her fiancé when she tied a phone wire around his neck and grabbed his unloaded revolver from a nightstand.
“Are you telling the jury that you stood behind him and put a phone wire around his neck as a joke?” Michael Rhodes, an attorney, was questioned.
“Yes,” White said, maintaining his composure during the tense interrogation.

When the defense counsel inquired, “What on Earth compels you to seize a gun?” she said, “He was already tampering with it.” That is why I took it. I was amusing myself as he FaceTimed his pals.”
White testified that neither of them slept that night. In her testimony, White stated, “I shattered a gingerbread house because I was so outraged.” Then I caused damage to a television.”
According to White’s complaint, the program was canceled due to Kris Jenner informing those in charge of the production that White had physically harmed her son and encouraging her daughters to do the same.
