Terminology like manga and manhwa have dominated this world’s graphical novel cosmos for many years. The global popularity of this type of Asian-inspired comic narrative has impacted other marketing sales. And more precisely, the market for manhwa has exploded in South Korea and virtually worldwide.
Among the many manhwas that have dominated the manhwa market for years, Solo Leveling or I Level Up alone is one of the greatest.
After a four-year journey, the manhwa reached its conclusion lately with 179 mind-blowing chapters. And now it’s expanding its universe with the announcement of an official Solo Leveling Anime that will premiere sooner than planned.
The new year of 2022 has barely begun, and we’ve already received some very wonderful news that has the potential to drive us practically insane. What do you think?
Yes, our favorite manhwa Solo Leveling has begun its anime adaptation. This revelation confirms that work on the Solo Leveling anime has already begun.
Solo Leveling Production Updates
Speaking of rumors, an insider confirmed on China’s microblogging site Weibo that the Solo Leveling Anime is becoming official, and the release date will be announced shortly.
Apart from this guy, several other Twitter users have remarked on this subject, indicating that this news is completely accurate.
If these reports are genuine, we may speculate that Studio Mir will oversee production. In this regard, it’s worth noting that Company Mir is a South Korean animation studio best recognized for its work on various successful animated programs, including The Legends of Korra and DOTA: Dragon’s Blood.
Given that all fans are aware of the circumstances behind the manga’s adaptation into animation, supporters wished for MAPPA or Ufotable to take over production.
However, given the anti-Japan elements in the tale of this manhwa, it is unlikely to happen. Crunchyroll adapted and licensed several webtoons, including Tower of God and Noblesse. However, such will not be the case with this one.
Regardless, we do not have an official release date or any information regarding the development. Solo Leveling’s publishers, D&C media, have not yet announced any details regarding the adaptation, but judging by the anticipation, we’ll learn something from insiders.
On the other hand, the internationally renowned South Korean K-pop band The Boyz has been tapped to create an original soundtrack for the upcoming Solo Leveling anime. The OST is set to be released in February 2022.
Solo Leveling Anime Release Date
As for the planned release date, given the length of the manhwa, we doubt the studio would cover the entire plot in a single season.
Given that there will be more seasons if the studio hurries their work (without sacrificing the anime’s quality, as was the case with God of High School), we can probably expect to see it in the fourth quarter of 2022 or the first quarter of 2023!
And if the designers don’t want to add to the intrigue by releasing it all at once, good luck with your wait; we won’t see it until the third or fourth quarter of 2023.
Solo Leveling Anime Cast
Regarding the show’s cast, there have been various rumors regarding the voice actor who would represent the anime’s protagonist, Sung-Jin Woo.
