Billions is an American television drama that was created by Brian Koppelman, David Levien, and Andrew Ross Sorkin.
The series revolves around large financial centers, most remarkably New York and Connecticut, and depicts the tale of hedge fund manager Bobby Axelrod (played by Damian Lewis) since he gains wealth and power in the high finance world.
His out-of-the-way strategies to have high returns often leap over into the illegal activities that United States Attorney Chuck Rhoades (portrayed by Paul Giamatti) tries to prosecute.
The series’ first season aired on January 17, 2016, on the original network Showtime and ran for six seasons with the sixth one airing on January 23, 2022, and dropping the last episode on April 10, 2022, with a total of twelve episodes.
The series received immense love and appreciation from audiences as well as critics and has an IMDB rating of 8.4 out of 10 and 91 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. We know fans are curious to know about the seventh season of the series and here’s what we know so far.
Billions Season 7 Release Date
Showtime made the official announcement about the renewal of the series for its seventh season on February 15, 2022, approximately two months before the series dropped its last episode.
There is no announcement made yet about the exact air date of the upcoming season of Billions but if the series would follow the same premiere pattern of the previous seasons, then we can expect it to kick off in early 2023.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Billions co-creator David Levien said “When we started the show, we were very much captivated by silent hedge fund guys trading stocks, trying to stay in the shadows and not become famous,” adding further “Over the years, we’ve seen people use their prominence and their wealth in the public space to try and move discourse and use that as an extra source of power.”
Billions Season 7 Cast
We can expect the return of almost all the main characters of the series from the last season except for Damian Lewis who was replaced with Corey Stoll in the sixth season. Stoll portrayed the character of Mike Prince. Here is the complete cast expected to appear in season 7 of the series.

There were some other additions to the sixth season apart from Stoll who are most probably returning to reprise their roles for the forthcoming season like Daniel Breaker played by Scooter Dunbar and Sakina Jaffrey played by Daevisha “Dave” Mahar.
