Demi Lovato Childhood
Demetria Devonne Lovato was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on August 20, 1992. She was reared in Dallas, Texas, after her parents split in 1994, just after her second birthday.
She demonstrated an early interest in music and acting, beginning with the piano at the age of seven and the guitar at ten. In 2002, she made her television debut as Angela on the children’s television series Barney & Friends.

Lovato’s debut single, “This Is Me,” was featured on the Camp Rock soundtrack and reached the US Billboard Hot 100 at number nine. She signed with Hollywood Records in the summer of 2008.

When she was sixteen, Lovato purchased a $1.88 million house in Los Angeles’ Toluca Lake neighborhood. Lovato spent $2.25 million on a new family compound in Sherman Oaks, California, two years later, in 2010.
Lovato spent $8.3 million on a home in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills neighborhood in September 2016. She listed the home for $9.5 million in September 2018. This residence was a living nightmare for Lovato.
A few months after moving in, severe rainstorms threatened to topple the home. A mudslide poured down the slopes above her driveway, prompting the fire brigade to declare the house temporarily uninhabitable.
In 2018, she was discovered in this residence following a non-fatal overdose of Oxycodone laced with lethal fentanyl. For several years, Demi attempted to sell the home before ultimately selling it in June 2020 for $8.25 million.
Demi spent $7 million in September 2020 for a freshly constructed house in Studio City, California.
