Stephanie Seymour was born in San Diego, California, on July 23, 1968, the middle child of a hairstylist and a real estate entrepreneur.
She made her modeling debut at 15 when she was a finalist in Elite Model Management’s First Look of the Year contest. Seymour began modeling at sixteen for department shops and local newspapers.

Seymour made her modeling debut in the late 1980s and early 1990s, appearing in multiple Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues and on the cover of Vogue.

Seymour has dabbled with acting on occasion throughout the years. Her debut role was as explosives specialist Cynna Stone in the 1994 point-and-click adventure video game “Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller.”
While the majority of the game’s characters and surroundings were created using computer graphics, Seymour was spoken by a live actor. Six years later, in 2000, she starred alongside Ed Harris and Marcia Gay Harden in the biographical picture “Pollock.”
In the film, Seymour portrayed Helen Frankenthaler, a real-life abstract expressionist painter. She later starred in a 2002 episode of the police procedural television series “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” She played the sister of a woman who accuses her ex-husband of sexually abusing their daughter.

Stephanie Seymour Private Life
Seymour began dating Elite Model Management’s John Casablancas when she was sixteen. Casablancas was married to another model at the time, Jeanette Christiansen. Seymour briefly lived with Casablancas before the two parted ways.
She later married musician Tommy Andrews in 1989, and the couple had a son called Dylan before divorcing in 1990. Seymour began dating Guns N’ Roses lead singer Axl Rose in the middle of the next year.
She appeared in two music videos for the band, for the songs “Don’t Cry” and “November Rain.” The duo, who were reportedly engaged, divorced in early 1993.
Later that year, Rose sued Seymour for allegedly attacking him and stealing over $100,000 in jewels; Seymour countersued, claiming Rose was the physically aggressive party.
Additionally, she subpoenaed Rose’s ex-wife Erin Everly to testify about her abuse at Rose’s hands. The cases were eventually resolved.
After her divorce from Rose, Seymour began dating Peter Brant, a real estate entrepreneur, magazine publisher, film producer, and art collector. In 1993, the couple welcomed a son called Peter II.
They married in Paris two years later. In 1996, Seymour and Brant had another son, Harry. In 2004, they had their third child, a daughter named Lily Margaret.
Seymour filed for divorce from Brant in 2009, but the couple reunited the following year. Tragically, their son Harry died in January 2021 of a heroin overdose at 24.
