Kengan Ashura is a Japanese anime series that is adapted from the manga series of the same name written by Yabako Sandrovich.
Seiji Kishi served as the director of the anime series and Makoto Uezu served as the writer. The series was animated by Larx Entertainment.
The first part of the series aired on Netflix on July 31, 2019, with a total of 12 episodes, and the second part dropped on October 31, 2019, with the same number of episodes.
The series gathered many appreciations and was praised by audiences as well as critics and has an IMDB rating of 8 out of 10.
Since the premiere of the second part of Kengan Ashura, fans have been expecting the third season, and here’s what we know so far about Kengan Ashura Season 3.
Is Kengan Ashura Renewed for Season 3?
Given the fact that the story of the series isn’t complete yet, most likely we will have a third season of Kengan Ashura but there is no official confirmation made yet about it neither from Netflix nor from the production company.
Although, there are indications that recommend that the third season of Kengan Ashura is under production currently.
As per YouTuber Shrift, it was reported that a voice actor for the English dub version gave the response to his questions about whether there will be Kengan Ashura Season 3, and purportedly, the unknown voice actor shared a snap of the script or “table read” for season 3 of the series, however, no additional details were being shared by the actor.
It is noted by the YouTuber that the upcoming season will probably show the Wakatsuki versus Julius battle shown in the manga series. Furthermore, he asserts that he has records and snaps of voice acting rehearsals, though it was shared just to the YouTuber’s Patreon members.
These are just speculations and we are still waiting for the official announcement about Kengan Ashura Season 3.
Kengan Ashura Season 3 Release Date
Though there is no official confirmation or announcement about the release date of Kengan Ashura Season 3 according to reports, the upcoming season is said to be in production currently so we can expect the third season of the series to come out on Netflix either by fall of this year or early next year.

Nothing has been shared about who will return as a voice cast of the upcoming season of the series but we can expect the below voice cast to join the third season’s cast.

Kengan Ashura Season 3 Storyline
We can expect the third season of the series to continue from where the last season left us.
We saw earlier that manager Kazuo Yamashita has been given the responsibility of handling the main lead Ohma Tokita, who himself has the task of getting a victory in an annual martial arts tournament organised by a number of business elites of Japan.
At the end of Kengan Ashura Season 2, we see that Raian was defeated by Ohma, an assassin from the Kure clan.
The third season of Kengan Ashura is supposed to continue the tournament since Ohma progresses to its third round.
We can also get an idea by referring to the manga series upon which it is based. The end of the second part of Kengan Ashura covers Chapter 135 of the manga series, which consists of 236 chapters, and hence, there is still plenty of source material to adapt.
As currently, an ongoing follow-up manga series is there named Kengan Omega, therefore, we can expect that the story will be a continuation of the last season.
Whilst Kengan Omega shows a new Kengan Association versus Purgatory tournament, there are chances that the third season of Kengan Ashura will keep continuing the current tournament prior to covering the follow-up series.
