Is There a New Season of Fortnite Coming Up Soon? Season 2 Episode 3’s Start Date and Time

It appears as though we have confirmation of an official release date for Fortnite’s latest season, chapter 3.

Fortnite’s third chapter has been available for almost three months. Epic included additional elements like sliding and swinging, which aided in the chapter’s early success. The new map looks warmly received, with many describing it as the greatest we’ve ever had.

The Winterfest Christmas event began a few days after introducing Chapter 3, Season 1. Players may receive free cosmetics from the cabin during the event by unwrapping a new present each day. Additional prizes become available after finishing a series of challenges.

We saw significant map modifications in the first two big patch upgrades, but the material dried up with the release. Since then, gamers have eagerly anticipated the start of the new Fortnite season.

New Season of Fortnite

Epic Games typically distributes teaser photos, videos, or audio samples a few days before starting a new season to raise excitement for the next release. This time, we did not receive it, nor did we receive the customary blog article announcing the release date for Chapter 3, Season 2.

Additionally, there has been no official announcement on a season postponement. Epic would have announced the delay sooner if there was one. That suggests Epic’s primary motivation for withholding official information or teasers is to do so just before server outage.

Data miners were able to catch one of Epic’s workers in the act of verifying that the new Fortnite season, Chapter 3 Season 2, will be launched this weekend.

When is the next season of Fortnite scheduled to premiere? Date & Time

Season 2 of Fortnite is planned to premiere on Sunday, March 20th, 2022. It is anticipated to be released following scheduled downtime at 4 a.m. ET. Today is mentioned on the Battle Pass tab, although this is usually inaccurate.

Although this is frequently inaccurate information, the PlayStation shop lists the 22nd as the commencement date.

“48 hours till I get to change my header picture again #FortniteSeason2,” Joe Strub, Fortnite’s UI engineer, tweeted. The tweet was quickly removed, but it had been screenshotted and uploaded as a reaction to most tweets inquiring when the next season of Fortnite will begin.

Hopefully, that is the season’s official release date, and Epic cannot postpone it. The Fortnite Status Twitter account is likely to announce when the servers will be down for the 20.00 update tonight, so we should receive confirmation. As always, we’ll keep you informed of any significant changes.

Tomorrow, March 20th has been confirmed as the release date, with downtime beginning at 7 a.m. UTC.
