According to the reports from Analysts, the project panel that was involved in the pre-production of the Apple Car has been terminated, and with not reworking rapidly and the car will not be able to be launched in 2025 which was the expected launch year.
In spite of some recent reports which suggest that Apple was possible to confirm a collaboration to mass-produce an “Apple Car” in 2025, it is being said by the Analyst that the date is to be decided. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, currently, no project panel is in place at Apple.
The Time Period for Termination Is Unknown
No further details have been given by Kuo, hence, currently, it is still unknown for how long the project team has been terminated, nor at what phase they were at the time.
Although, last year in December, it was purported that 3 “Apple Car” engineers had taken an exit for some different companies.
The Apple Car project team has been dissolved for some time. The reorganization within the next three to six months is necessary to achieve the goal of mass production by 2025.

Additionally, last year in September, Kevin Lynch, Apple Watch executive, was said to have been reallocated in order to handle the “Apple Car” panel.
Back in 2020, the report came out suggesting that John Giannandrea, Apple’s AI and Siri’s head, was at the helm of development.
It’s also possible that the design work and plans for Apple could even have been finished. However, in case that was the scenario, a few numbers of members of a panel would be supposed to remain there at least over the manufacturing process.
