The A&E Network is preparing to premiere Secrets of the Chippendales Murders, a new documentary on the Chippendales empire that will disclose how the empire fell and some surprising truths about the nightclub. The documentary will have its world debut on March 14, 2022.
The four-part documentary will take viewers “beyond the dazzling lights” into a “dark world of narcotics, arson, a love triangle, and a murder.”
Secrets of The Chippendales Murders will premiere on the network on March 14, 2022, at 10/9c.
In 1979, Chippendales launched its inaugural show “to attract and satisfy ladies with its scantily dressed male dancers and energetic music.” Intending to grow the business further, creator Steve Banerjee partnered with Nick DeNoia, an Emmy-winning television producer and choreographer.
However, circumstances altered with DeNoia’s death. Despite her defeat, Banerjee’s hunger for power did not abate. With competitor nightclubs set on fire and two former workers attempting murder, the FBI could not apprehend the perpetrator and ended up conducting a sting operation spanning two continents.
The documentary will now shed light on “how s*x, jealousy, arson, hefty bags of cash, and mafia shakedowns” resulted in some of the most heinous killings in American history.
Additionally, it will include some unique interviews, never-before-seen crime scene footage, and declassified FBI surveillance audio from the incident.

Additionally, the documentary will feature interviews with former producers, dancers, investigators, and family members of the club owner, notably Christian Banerjee, Tom and Cathy DeNoia, Eddy Prevot, Mike Waldron, Hodari Sababu, and Eric Gilbert.
Even hitman Louie Lopez’s defense attorney, Frank Rothman, will appear in the documentary for the first time in an exclusive interview. He will recount the incident in minute detail.
Additionally, former Chippendales assistant producer Jay D. Schwartz, Banerjee’s closest friend Howard Metz, DeNoia’s hidden lover David Arad, and Arad’s ex-boyfriend David Shrem will participate in the documentary to explain their side of the tale.
