The official Twitter account for Disney+’s new Star Wars series, Andor, opened.
According to Big Screen Leaks, the new Disney+ series appears to have formed its official Twitter account for when it begins social media promotion, albeit the account was formally created in February 2021 and is now private.
This development occurred less than a week before Disney Investor Day 2022 on March 9. Season 1 of Andor is yet to premiere on Disney+, and no official release date has been announced.
In contrast, the upcoming series has already been renewed for a second season, which will begin production in fall 2022, though this has not been verified officially.
Disney did announce the release date for the first season of their Star Wars spinoff series, Andor, announcing that the series will launch on Disney+ in Q4 of 2022, indicating that it will run in October or December.
Diego Luna, who will reprise his role as Rebel spy Cassian Andor in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, announced that Season 1 filming would conclude in September 2021 following substantial production delays caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The series, which will focus on the origins of Rebel spy Cassian Andor and fill out the Rebel Alliance’s early years, serves as a prequel to Lucasfilm’s 2016 Star Wars anthology film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The first season will have 12 episodes, with Luna reprising his character as Cassian Andor from Rogue One.
For the season, Forest Whitaker and Genevieve O’Reilly are also likely to return as Saw Gerrera and Mon Mothma, respectively.
Additionally, the cast includes Stellan Skarsgard, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Robert Emms, albeit the specifics of their parts are unknown. Andor will make its Disney+ debut in 2022.
