It’s time for Hero-King Inglis to be reborn, but this time as a woman squire to defeat others in combat and become a swordmaster in the TV anime adaptation of Hayaken’s light novel series Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire.
Today, the adaptation received a slew of announcements, including the series’s release date of 2023, the series’s team and cast, the series’ first key visual, the series’ first trailer, and the character design setting for the two protagonist blade wielders.
Inglis and Lafilia’s voice actors reprise their roles from the preceding web short for the light novels:
Naoyuki Kuzuya (Bus Gamer) directs the Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire television anime at Studio Comet, with Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-a-Girlfriend) writing the series composition, Reiichiro Ofuji (Fairy Ranmaru) adapting the character designs for animation alongside Tomoko Miyakawa (Fairy Ranmaru), Rion Matsuda Ofuji, Miyakawa, and Matsuda will also serve as co-chief animators alongside Masayuki Nomoto (Fairy Ranmaru).

The original Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire light novels are published in Japan by Hobby Japan under the HJ Bunko banner. The series is also accessible in English through J-Novel Club.
The television anime Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire is broadcast in 2023.
