Tom Swift, the follow-up of The CW’s mystery drama Nancy Drew gathered a lot of positive responses from the critics as well as audiences. The show is all set to welcome Supergirl star April Parker Jones who portrayed the character of Lauren Haley in the second season of Supergirl and Ashleigh Murray who starred in both “Riverdale” and “Katy Keene”.
Both the stars are joining the cast of Tom Swift alongside “Blindspot” star Marquise Vilson, and Comedy-drama series “Bump” star Albert Mwangi. They will join the initially confirmed Tian Richards for the role of Tom Swift in the series.
An announcement about The CW developing a follow-up titled Tom Swift was made on October 28, 2020. The spin-off is adapted from the book series of the same name, created by Melinda Hsu Taylor, Noga Landau, and Cameron Johnson.

- Ashleigh Murray will portray Zenzi Fullerton, who is said to be as proficient and vivacious. Since childhood, Zenzi and Tom have been best friends and the former considers the latter as his family. She is one among those few people who can hold on to him.
- Marquise Vilson will portray Isaac Vega, who is Tom’s bodyguard. Vilson is explained as trans, pansexual and an ultimate badass whose growing feelings for Tom will just never be an obstacle in the way of his responsibility and fidelity.
- Albert Mwangi will portray Rowan who is a member of the security detail for a Congressman in Tom’s circle. The character is explained as having fierce behavior who conceals his mysterious past and his miserable interest in Tom.

Tom Swift Storyline
The spin-off series revolves around the consecutive adventures of the billionaire inventor (portrayed by Richards) who is dug into a world of science-fiction trick and undescribed wonder following when his father disappeared mysteriously.
Tom goes on a mission in order to uncover the fact behind his father’s disappearance, and leave the luxury of his regular comfortable lifestyle behind, all while combatting to be a step forward of an Illuminati-scale group determined on preventing him.
In order to uncover the truth, Tom will require his skills and ability for conception led by love, romance, friendship, and the riddles of the universe that are yet to resolve. The secret pilot also introduced Barclay (dubbed by LeVar Burton), an A.I. ally that was formed by Tom and is his friend as well as his confidant.
