“Sing 2,” the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2016 animated film, is now available for home rental. The film will be available on streaming services less than three weeks after it opens in cinemas on December 22.
The family comedy, produced by the same company that gave us “Despicable Me” and “Minions,” boasts a star-studded cast, a catchy soundtrack, and the same characters viewers fell in love with within the original film.
Following the events of “Sing,” our furry friends are back for their greatest concert yet — but they’ll need to persuade a retiring and reclusive rock star, played by Bono of U2.
Matthew McConaughey reprises his role as Buster, the koala, Reese Witherspoon reprises her role as Rosita, the pig, Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Ash, the porcupine, Taron Egerton reprises his role as Johnny, the gorilla, Tori Kelly reprises her role as Meena, the elephant. Nick Kroll reprises his role as Gunter, the pig in the sequel.
“Sing 2” garnered reviews from reviewers and now has a “70 percent Fresh” rating on the review aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes. The first film elicited a similar response, earning a “71 percent Fresh” rating.
