Chinese executive Peter Luo, CEO of Beverly Hills-based film investor Starlight Media, has commenced a new business devoted to finding technologies of entertainment and commerce within the Metaverse. Branded as Metaverse Entertainment Inc. the company will be an ancillary of Stars Collective, the skill incubator started by Luo last year.

Venture in the Metaverse

The executive has teamed up with Chinese company DigiBox Technology and Chinese Tech businessman Tonggang Chen, founder of Huashi TV on the business. The startup says that its aim is to provide raconteurs and companies with an easy access point to getting outreach to the virtual environment by a model that will raise constant revenue. 

About the partnership and opinion of the co-founder

The new company targets to complete the setup of an entertainment ecosystem by making use of NFT assets by the time 2022 ends, making itself a single-stop shop for initiatives ranging from NFT making to smart contracts, distribution, sales, and broader notional metaverse activities.

In a statement, Luo said that they understand the significance that the metaverse will have in our future and they believe that the companies that are quick in developing a metaverse layout will have a distinct upper hand.

He also said that the Metaverse is going to play a chief global role in the way that people interact and engage in society. NFTs being one of the most natural uses of blockchain technology are causing many new users, engagements, and transactions every day. 

Plans for the Metaverse Venture

Metaverse Entertainment signifies a firm diversification for Luo’s Stars Collective program. That program and company were started in 2020 to nurture and empower a huge pool of young director talent for future collaborations.

The company says it has since hired about 200 young filmmakers from around the world, with whom Stars Collective will discuss NFT associations besides traditional films. Luo is well known in Hollywood and Beijing for his work as a film financier via Starlight. The brand reached initial success as a backer and co-producer of Jon Chu’s 2018 blockbuster Crazy Rich Asians.

The company has a director priority approach whereby it goes for only first-look investments with settled and emerging filmmakers.
