To get a dig into the expected synopsis of the third season let’s have a sneak peek into the ending of Season 2, where we see that Commissioner Jim Gordon blooming Poison Ivy’s wedding to Kite Man to leave behind the Justice League and knock down the villains who were present among attendees.
Harley also crashes the wedding to prevent Gordon and protect her best friend (for whom she has even feelings). Gordon escapes away and absolute chaos emerges, though Harley and Ivy finally get the happy ending they were worthy of and kick off into the sunset together (whilst being followed by Gordon’s men).
Oh, and Joker observed that he still aspired to remain a villain, but also settle down in the suburbs with his new girlfriend.
Coming to the storyline we can expect from S Harley Quinn Season 3 to start from where Season 2 was left, with Harley and Ivy beginning a romantic relationship together (and probably in prison if they are caught).
The creator of the series Justin Halpern stated that the third season would explore their new relationship and dig deeper into Ivy following paying much attention to Harley. The writers’ room even came up with new voices from the LGBTQ+ community in order to diversify the staff and speak to their romance from a private place.
Overall, much is still left there to be covered in the plot to explore with Harley Quinn. After all, Gotham City is still removed from the remainder of the United States. and finally, Harley has this realization that she is not the straight-up villain she sought to be. The upcoming season could explore this entirely new side of her since she discovers her place as an antihero.
