Tesla Cybertruck Launch Window
Tesla was previously prepared to start the production on the Cybertruck truck in late 2021 but put it off until sometime in late 2022. But the latest report claims that it could be delayed to early 2023 which is something that is supported by Tesla by the withdrawal of the 2022 launch window from Cybertruck’s order page.
Initial postponements were because of the supply chain problems which have been impacting the automotive industry at large. Elon Musk said Tesla could not make enough 4680 battery cells for the Cybertruck while the distinct-style steel frame was known to need an all-new casting machine to be designed.
In the meantime, Tesla has been frank about its prime concerns saying that it would not start the manufacture of the vehicle until the Texas gigafactory had started the production of new Model Ys. Unfortunately, this is yet to happen and it means that the Cybertruck production status remains up in the air.

Tesla Cybertruck Price

The single motor Cybertruck, which is the final model expected to go into production, is priced at a starting amount of $39,990 which is $5000 cheaper than the most economical Model 3.

That package is priced at $12000, but we expect the Cybertruck will also be up for the $199 per month FSD option. But considering the Full Self Driving Autopilot’s cost has increased by $6000 since July 2019, it is more likely that more price increases could be there.
Elon Musk has reiterated that on many occasions. The Cybertruck was also supposed to come to the UK. But Musk has said that the vehicle is currently being made to US specifications because attempting to make it acceptable for every country would be odious. The pricing in the UK and details of the release are still not known.
Tesla Cybertruck Interior
Not much has been seen about the stuff on the inside of the Cybertruck. But early displays show that the interior would be the same as other Tesla cars- specifically the spacious Model X. But everything is quite angular, suiting the vehicle with as many straight edges as the Cybertruck.
There is space for up to six people and the design of the steering wheel is the same butterfly yoke design that is noticed in the latest Model S and Model X cars. The dash is as moderate as any other Tesla although with a marble effect instead of something usual.
The infotainment display captures center stage like the Model 3 and Model Y and appears that this screen will be the only one showing any information. Truly the absence of a gauge cluster behind the steering wheel was one of my biggest complaints with the Tesla Model 3, and it is a style we hope does not last long.
Tesla Cybertruck Battery and Range
As a matter of fact, we are aware that supplies are prepared to include the new 4680 battery cells in the Cybertruck. Musk himself divulged that the delay in the vehicle’s production is partly due to the company’s failure in making an adequate number of battery cells at an effective cost.

Tesla Cybertruck Range
Like most cars, the range of the vehicle is going to depend based on the model you end up purchasing. Earlier Tesla had established that the single motor model will provide 250 miles of range which is the very minimum Elon Musk claims he will let Tesla offer. Meanwhile switching to the dual-motor model increases the range to 300 miles which is a more attractive number.
The tri-motor could also offer more than 500 miles range on charging, which is totally ridiculous. However, this number was declared before Musk annulled the possibility of a Model S Plaid, accounting that the model’s 500+ miles of approximate range was extreme. So it is not certain what would mean for the Cybertruck.
Sadly the quad-motor model’s range is totally not known and since the extra motor needs more energy we are not fully certain if it will be more or less than the range of the tri-motor model.
Tesla Cybertruck Performance
According to Tesla, the single motor Cybertruck can clock from zero to 60 miles per hour in under 6.5 seconds time. That is quite slow by the standards of Tesla, but this is a truck and their size typically prevents any super fast acceleration.
Though this makes the performance of the top-end variants a little more attractive. The dual-motor Cybertruck can reach 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, and the tri-motor model can reach 2.9 seconds. That is super rapid for such a big vehicle and is probable to give some other, less heavy electric cars, some competition.
Plus being a truck, the Cybertruck can tow 7500 lbs with a single motor, 10000 lbs with two, and 14000 lbs on the tri-motor model. There is no information about the quad-motor model but we expect that extra motor may help with extra acceleration and towing ability.
However, the Cybertruck is ready to launch with rear-wheel steering, akin to the GMC Hummer EV’s crab mode and it enables the Cybertruck to drive diagonally to escape the tight spots. We expect the quad-motor model to stand out at this because each wheel will have its own motor to give momentum.
Tesla Cybertruck Outlook
The vehicle has all the capability to be a big shot in the world of electric trucks, which is based on the fact that Tesla commands so much hold over the market.
