According to Digital Spy, the sixth season starts straight away from where it ended in season 5 and the first scene will be Tommy standing on the field with a gun to his head.
Tommy is now the Deputy Leader of the British Union of Fascists with leader Oswald Mosley. He failed in an attempt to kill Oswald because someone deceived him. The main question is who played false. Season 5 was explained as a part of two, so we wonder if the thrilling suspense that saw Tommy shatter as he pointed a gun at his head will be resolved.
It was also said that season 6 will portray Gina’s family and other people engulfing Oswald. There were rumors that Rowan Atkinson has been shown as Hitler in the series but Metro.co.uk was confirmed by showmakers that it is not true. It is a plausible theory as Steven highlighted that there might be a character from history in season 6.

Some deleted scenes from season 5 show that Polly wanted to quit the business because of Tommy’s involvement with the fascists and Aberama persuading her to leave. Meanwhile, Tommy focused on setting up a charity to aid military men with shell shock. Knight has reiterated that he wants to redeem Tommy as a noble character by the end of the series.
But that process would not be simple. Knight has also clarified that Tommy is in another emotional state in season 6. According to Knight if Grace has an apparitional appearance in Season 6, it can be predicted that she would be less liberating and more the herald of destruction. The visions that Tommy sees of Grace alter the positive presence of the character.
