Archive 81’s Horror-mystery Trailer Has Arrived but Watch at Your Own Risk

This article contains all the information related to the release of Archive 81, Netflix’s latest mystery screamer series. It also includes the possible details of the plot deciphered from the trailer and the comments of the showrunner.

About the Series

Netflix is starting the year 2022 with a latest psychic thriller which seems a good one. On Jan. 5, the trailer for the eight-episode series was released by the streaming giant whose actual plot is somewhat based on the favoured podcast with the same title.

In the trailer, we are shown activist Dan Turner (played by Mamoudou Athie), who has been given a task to bring together a hidden set of burnt videotapes from 1994 which suffered a dangerous fire incident.

Plot Breakdown From the Trailer

The videotapes are from documentary filmmaker Melody Pendras (played by Dina Shihabi), who, during that time, was busy with a film inspecting a perilous cult at the Visser apartment building before her demise.

As the clip emerges, these two characters somehow strike a mysterious connection as Dan tries to solve the puzzle of what actually happened to Melody and protect her from the dreadful fate which she faced 25 years before.

Remarks of the Producer

Archive 81’s Horror-mystery

According to the showrunner, executive producer and writer Rebecca Sonnenshine the series is a character-driven, highly emotional display about the type of art, faith and the hunt for identification and all of them shown together in an unravelling layer of contemporary apprehension.

It can be assumed from the trailer that the video cassettes have a powerful comeback in the actual series, but the fear of it all looks to showcase many twists and turns on their way. Archive 81 streams on Netflix on Jan. 14.
